As part of Sanlam Premium Rewards, members will gain access to a healthcare support service providing unlimited multilingual telephonic access to experienced, qualified health professionals, 24 hours a day.
Service benefits:
- Medical advice: 24-hour telephonic emergency medical advice, including assessment of symptoms, trauma debriefing, counselling for chronic ailments and referral to the most appropriate healthcare professionals, where necessary
- Physical health matters: providing practical guidance on self-care, assistance with compliance to existing medication and treatment, and supporting members with lifestyle choices to maintain their health
- Crisis support centre: This service will include support on the COVID-19 pandemic. Members will be risk-screened to determine their risk for COVID-19 and associated psychosocial and other lifestyle risks and referred for further medical screening, where necessary. Members diagnosed with the Coronavirus will be given specific assistance with self-care while ill.
- Psychosocial matters: assistance with social and emotional issues such as loneliness, stress and anxiety or depression. Members will receive specific support for their relationship and personal pressures, which may be amplified by the COVID-19 lockdown, self-quarantine and social distancing.
- Trauma: for members who have experienced a traumatic incident such as abuse or loss. This could be amplified during the lockdown period. We will contain the traumatic experiences through debriefing and scheduling follow-up tele-counselling sessions where required.
