How Does DebiCheck Work?
Once you have agreed to the debit order amount, the financial adviser will do one of the following:
Option 1 – Approval completed with bank approved device
Insert your bank chip card into a device attached to the financial adviser’s tablet/smartphone to create the debit order. This device has been authorised by the bank and is safe to use.
Input your card’s PIN. The device will never store, log, or otherwise misuse your banking credentials or personal information.
You will receive a pop-up message from your bank to electronically approve the debit order. The first payment is not immediate and will only be deducted on the date approved by you. Your mandate amount will allow for up to three times your original premium value, without any further authorisation, this is to account for premium escalations and any future upgrades.
Option 2 – Approval via your banking app
You will receive an SMS asking you to action a pending request on the phone number linked to your bank account.
Log onto your banking app and follow the prompts.
Option 3 – Approval via a USSD code
You will receive an SMS asking you to action a pending request on the phone number linked to your bank account.
Dial *120*2272# from your cellphone.
Select Option 9 – DebiCheck Debit Orders and reply.
Select the number of the request you want to action and reply.
Follow the prompts.
