We offer a variety of career opportunities including managerial, marketing, specialist, administrative and broker consultant positions.

We have various managerial opportunities available, such as a Regional General Managers, Regional Marketing Managers, Regional Operations Managers and Regional Managers. These managerial employees maintain and grow existing markets and develop broker partnerships and contracts which support Sanlam Broker Distribution’s strategy. They are responsible for:

  • Creating and implementing the provincial strategy, vision, and direction;
  • Managing change and business innovation;
  • Developing new networks and expanding the business;
  • Identifying and developing talent;
  • Managing and attaining business profitability; and
  • Managing risk.

Career opportunities for specialist candidates include specialist positions like National Marketing Manager, Regional Marketing Manager and Corporate Business Development positions. They are responsible for:

  • Formulating and assisting with the implementation of the marketing strategy;
  • Initiating, promoting and driving sales campaigns and competitions;
  • Assisting sales teams to better position, market and promote Sanlam products and our value proposition to our brokers; and;
  • Engaging with product providers and regional sales teams.

This is a third party marketing and relationship-building role, serving as an interface between Sanlam and brokers. The broker consultant position has a clearly defined career development path, from the entry level junior/trainee consultant to executive consultants. The broker consultant endeavours to increase Sanlam’s market share by means of maximising business submission and retention to Sanlam through:

  • Marketing and selling Sanlam‘s products to brokers;
  • Supporting the brokers in their practice;
  • Promoting and educating brokers on Sanlam’s value proposition and products; and
  • Building partner relationships.
