Sanlam Asset Management (Ireland) Limited (“SAMI”) was established in June 1997 in Dublin, Ireland and is the Sanlam Group’s international investment management platform managing funds domiciled in Ireland.

With a highly experienced team of professionals, SAMI provides fund management and establishment services to collective investment schemes, supporting a range of international investment solutions across countries and asset classes.

Our authorisations

5 January 2006 - SAMI was authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (the "Central Bank") as a management company for Irish collective investment schemes pursuant to the European Communities (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) (Amendment) Regulations, 2011 (the "UCITS Regulations").

5 July 2012 - SAMI was approved by the Financial Conduct Authority to carry out collective portfolio management in the United Kingdom by means of freedom of services from Ireland in accordance with the UCITS Regulations.

20 December 2012 - SAMI was granted an extension to its existing UCITS authorisation from the Central Bank to provide certain administration services to the Irish domiciled Sanlam Funds managed by the Company with effect from 1 January 2013.

29 August 2014 - SAMI was authorised as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (“AIFM”) by the Central Bank under regulation 9 of the European Union (Alternative Investment Fund Managers) Regulations, 2013 (the “AIFM Regulations”).
