We’ve made it our mission to give more than we receive, creating opportunities for our youth and giving back to the community as a whole.
Under our education program we have, a scholarship program where we pay school fees for needy but bright students.
Our CSR budget also sets aside an amount in the Chairman’s kitty. This kitty funds proposals from the Chairman who often gets called upon to support the community from time to time. Under this kitty, we support the National prayer breakfast among other worthy courses.
Under environment, we carry out: • Tree planting campaigns with schools in a program we call “growing up green” where a student is assigned a tree, to take care of it until it has reached a self survival level. • Beautification and maintenance of Kenyatta Avenue along which Pan Africa Life house is situated. • Internal staff campaigns annually, sensitizing staff on environmental conservation, with keen focus on water, electricity and paper as well as proper waste management.
Under this we address emerging needs requiring our attention/support as a responsible corporate citizen. In 2014, we shall focus on creating cancer awareness, prevention and treatment as our flagship CSI project.
Pan Africa has been on the forefront in supporting Ahadi Trust Kenya. We make donations both in cash and kind. The trust’s objective is to eradicate the jigger manse in Kenya and reaches out to infected and affected communities treating them and empowering them to get out of the poverty cycle.
